## Data notes

- All positions, altitudes, velocities and passes on this site are SGP4 predictions computed from orbital element data — not live satellite telemetry. Only satellite operators and government tracking agencies have real-time data.
- Source: public orbital element (GP) data published by CelesTrak from the US Space Force catalogue, updated roughly every two hours.
- NORAD catalog numbers reached 6 digits (>= 100000) in 2026. The classic TLE format cannot carry those numbers, so those objects are tracked from GP CSV data with the TLE representation generated locally; the real NORAD id is always shown.
- Revived 2026-09-02: the objects-table update job (statuses, orbit descriptions) had silently failed for ~2 years on a malformed launch date; fixed and backfilled.
